Newcastle United are reportedly among several clubs showing an interest in signing teenage French talent Georginio Rutter.

The print edition of The Sunday Mirror (page 73) reported [via Sportslens] that the Magpies are in the hunt to sign the 18-year-old ‘sensation’, who is also wanted by Arsenal, RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Lyon. He currently plays for Ligue 1 side Rennes, who value him at £10m.

According to Sportslens, Rutter’s pace, power and technical ability have caught the eye of scouts from Arsenal, with the teenager already a bulky presence at 1.82m (6ft). The 18-year-old has yet to make his first team debut for Rennes but he has featured at UEFA Youth League level, scoring once in four appearances in the competition last season (as per TransferMarkt).

L’Equipe (via Get French Football News) that Newcastle have already lodged an enquiry with the Ligue 1 club regarding their interest in the teenage striker, who has represented France at several underage grades.

Given his tender age and his lack of senior experience, Rutter would almost certainly be signed with the long-term picture in mind by whoever signs him, if he is to complete a transfer in the current window.

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce already has four senior centre-forwards at the club in Andy Carroll, Joelinton, Dwight Gayle (currently out with a lengthy knee injury) and summer signing Callum Wilson, who scored on his debut for the club against West Ham.

£10m indeed seems a hefty fee to pay for someone who has yet to even play a first team game, although from Newcastle’s perspective, it could be a gamble worth taking in terms of its long-term consequences.

The scale of the transfer interest in Rutter hints at the huge potential that he boasts, while it’s worth remembering that Carroll won’t be around forever. The Geordie native will be 32 in January and has already had an injury-plagued career, while his failure to score in 23 appearances since returning to the club last year suggests that he has lost sharpness up front.

In time, Rutter could become the eventual successor to Carroll as a powerful centre-forward presence – assuming, of course, that the Magpies can beat off the substantial competition for the Rennes youngster’s signature.

The 2019/20 campaign has been a difficult one for West Ham United, who parted with former boss Manuel Pellegrini in December.

The Chilean had overseen a poor start to the Premier League season following a summer of promise, where the club signed Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals for substantial sums.

وأكمل: “منذ اللحظة التي أقيمت فيها قرعة الدور نصف النهائي، كان من الواضح أن هذا يمكن أن يحدث، لقد ركزنا كليًا علينا، وهذا إنجاز رائع. بمجرد وصولنا نريد أن نكون في أفضل حالاتنا”.

وأضاف: “أرفض التقليل من فريقنا، مانشستر سيتي ربما يكون أفضل فريق في أوروبا في الوقت الحالي وربما العالم، علينا مرة أخرى إغلاق الفارق لمدة 90 دقيقة، الشيء الجيد هو أننا فعلنا ذلك بالفعل، لقد لعبنا مع هذا الفريق في نفس الظروف في فترة قصيرة من الزمن، هذه هي النقطة التي يجب الاستمرار فيها، والنقطة التي يجب تصديقها قبل مواجهة السبت”.

وعن المواجهة الثالثة ضد مانشستر سيتي، قال توخيل: “لا أعرف ما إذا كانت هزيمتهم في آخر مباراتين ميزة بالنسبة لنا، لكننا نُدرك أنها أغلقت الفجوة أمامهم، لم تصبح مواجهتهم عقدة، وهو ما يجعلني أقول إنه يمكن أن يحدث أي شيء في جميع الاتجاهات”.

وشدد: “الحظ له جزء كبير في هذه المباريات، التفاصيل الصغيرة مثل من يمكنه التخلص من الضغط، ولديك أول لحظة إيجابية في المباراة، جميعها أشياء مهمة في مواجهة السبت، ولكن علينا أن نتكيف سريعًا مع ما سيحدث”.

واختتم: “سنذهب للراحة غدًا من أجل الخروج من الضغوطات التي واجهناها هذا الموسم، ثم بدايةً من يوم الأربعاء سنكون مليئين بالبهجة، لأننا سنخوض أهم مباراة في الموسم وأكثرها إثارة”.

مرتضى منصور تم عزله هو ومجلسه بقرار من وزارة الشباب والرياضة، بسبب وجود شبهة فساد مالي، وتكليف لجنة مؤقتة لإدارة نادي الزمالك لحين إجراء انتخابات جديدة.

وقال منصور في فيديو بثه عبر قناته بموقع الفيديوهات الشهير “يوتيوب”: “أعد لك مفاجأة يا أشرف يا صبحي، وستكون في الفيديو القادم، سيجعل كيانك يسقط، ولو الحكومة محترمة ستجعلك تذهب للمنزل، وهذا الأمر ليس له علاقة بشخصي، ولكن هناك مفاجأة وراء السبب الحقيقي للغل الذي تحمله لي”.

وأضاف: “انا بالفعل ارتكبت 3 مخالفات مالية من أصل 60 مخالفة، وأعترف بهم، المخالفة الأولى هي خطأ إجرائي في صرف شيكات للمقاولون العرب، والإدارة المالية كانت السبب في المشكلة، وقمت بفصلهم من العمل، وأعادهم عماد عبد العزيز”.

وواصل: “المخالفة الثانية، وصل الكهرباء جاء بمبلغ 44 ألف جنيه، وهناك ولد كان يعمل في النادي صرف لهم المبلغ مرة بأصل الإيصال ومرة بالصورة”.

وتابع: “المخالفة الثالثة، موظف شركة جاء ليقوم بتركيب لافتات في النادي، وأخبرني أن تكلفتها مليون و200 ألف جنيه، وتم صرف مبلغ مليون و900 ألف فقط من خزينة النادي، والموظف أخذ 200 ألف جنيه في يده، وأنا قمت بتحويل المسؤولين عن الواقعة للنيابة العامة”.

وشدد: “أنا أشرف من الجميع، أعترف بتلك المخالفات لأن الراعي مسؤول عن راعيته، ولن أتبرأ من ذنبي، ولكن أين باقي المخالفات؟ ولماذا لم يتم التحقيق فيها؟”.

واستطرد: “حاليا أجهز ملفًا مكونًا من 108 صفحات، مستند فيه للوائح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم وميثاق اللجنة الأولمبية، وهناك ملف آخر عن التنمر الذي تعرضت له أنا وشيكابالا لاعب الزمالك، وتركي آل الشيخ (الرئيس الشرفي للنادي الأهلي السابق)، بالإضافة إلى ملف آخر عن حسن مصطفى (رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة اليد)”.

وأوضح: “هذا الملف سيتم ترجمته للغة الإنجليزية، سيسافر مع وفد على أعلى مستوى، سيتم تسليمه باليد للفيفا”.

وهدد: “أقول لـ أشرف صبحي وزير الرياضة أمامك فرصة أسبوع حتى يتم تجهيز الملف، أن تعيد الشرعية لنادي الزمالك وكرامته، لديك فرصة ذهبية، لأن هذا الملف لو تم تسليمه للفيفا من الممكن أن يضر الكرة المصرية، وأنت من ستتحمل ذلك”.

واستكمل: “أمامك فرصة لكي تصحح الخطأ الكبير الذي حدث، هذا ليس خطأ في حقي، أنا رئيس الزمالك التاريخي مثلما تردد الجماهير”.

واختتم: “حققت بطولات لم يحققها أحد، نصف ألقاب الدوري كانت في وجودي، منذ أن كنت عضوًا في مجلس إدارة كمال درويش الذي لم يكن يتحدث أبدًا، وأنا كنت مشرفًا على الكرة”.

A number of Newcastle United fans have urged their club to re-sign Papiss Cisse.

On Monday morning, TEAMtalk cited reports which claimed that the Magpies had been offered the chance to bring the striker back to the club for just £3m.

Chronicle Live carried a story later in the day insisting that Newcastle were not considering a move for the 34-year-old.

However, that has not stopped the club’s supporters from insisting that they would be interested in re-signing the 6 ft ace from Turkish outfit Alanyaspor.

The Senegal international scored 44 times in 131 appearances during his time at St James’ Park – including 37 Premier League goals.

Cisse has actually managed an impressive nine goals in nine Super Lig outings this season, whilst he has 25 strikes in 36 matches for his current club in all competitions since arriving from China.

Joelinton has only managed one Premier League goal for Newcastle since a summer move, and the supporters have urged their club to consider an approach for Cisse if the opportunity does indeed become available.

Mario Mandzukic’s name is currently being mentioned as a potential target for United, alongside PSG’s Cavani – whose contract at the Parc des Princes is due to expire next summer.

If the Parisians fail to offer the Uruguayan a new deal, or he rejects one offered to him, he will be free to leave the club for nothing at the end of the campaign.

With that in mind, PSG may wish to do business with United in January to obtain some funds for him instead of allowing him to leave for nothing just six months later.
