When we launched at the start of the month I would have been happy if we had made £100 so this far exceeds my expectation, and all the money raised of course goes directly to the Junior Sabres in the club which is just great."Jo continued: "All of the players have been really good about donating items of their kit for such a good cause, and this afternoon Keith Dutch has given me a pair of his batting gloves which will become Lot number 12 in the auction."The best bid for any of the lots that has been received so far is for Mike Burns Gunn and Moore bat which currently stands at £120, followed by Peter Bowler’s bat which stands at £85.On Friday evening the best bid for each of the items was: Lot number 1-£20, Lot number 2-£35, Lot number 3-£25, Lot number 4-£40, Lot number 5-£25, Lot number 6-£30, Lot number 7-£30, Lot number 8-£15, Lot number 9-£120, Lot number 10-£85, Lot number 11-£15 and Lot number 12-£15.Please remember that all items are genuine and that the auction will close on November 30th with the lot being sold to the highest bidder.All the lots are listed on the features section of the title page of the website.To register a bid for any of the lots please send an email to [email protected] PRESS.The new Stumpy mugs featuring a cartoon of Somerset’s friendly mascot in full colour have just been received in the office at the County Ground and are currently on sale priced at £3 each or £10 for four.The mugs will make an ideal Christmas present for Junior Sabres of any age. Middlesbrough have opened talks to sign former Newcastle United winger Sammy Ameobi, as reported by Football Insider.
The English winger is set to be a free agent when his Nottingham Forest contract expires on June 30th [Transfermarkt].
Currently speaking, Boro are set to be the front-runners for his signature and have begun discussions regarding a deal, as Neil Warnock’s men plot an assault on the Sky Bet Championship next campaign [Football Insider].
Of course, Ameobi already has previous experience of life at the Riverside Stadium, having signed on loan from Newcastle United for the Teeside club back in 2013/14 [BBC].
In 2020/21, the 6ft 4in wide man notched five goal contributions in 34 appearances for Nottingham Forest; three goals and two assists [Transfermarkt].
In light of this news, loads of Boro fans took to Twitter to convey their feelings on a potential deal for Ameobi.

Football Insider pundit Dany Mills believes Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks could join Aston Villa this summer.
The Lowdown: Winks set for Spurs exit?
Winks has been with Spurs since 2016 and is under contract until 2024, however, it appears he could be on the move from north London in the current window.
According to Football Insider, who were informed by a source, incoming Tottenham recruitment chief Fabio Paratici will tell the central midfielder that the club will listen to offers for his services this summer.
The 25-year-old has made 173 appearances for Spurs, but it appears as if he may not add to that tally.
The Latest: Mills’ claim
Mills, 44, was talking to Football Insider and admitted he saw the England international playing golf at The Belfry, hinting at a possible house hunting trip to the Midlands.
“I don’t see him getting into that Spurs side.
“It depends who comes and goes this summer but he’s down the pecking order. He has been for some time now.
“He needs to get playing. I see him going to Wolves and Aston Villa. He was seen playing golf at The Belfry.
“Let’s assume he was house hunting. I can confirm he was there.”
The Verdict: Do Villa need him?
Should Villa be in for Winks this summer, it could prove to be a smart signing by Dean Smith.
Winks is capable of playing as a defensive or central midfielder and could end up bolstering Villa’s options in the middle of the park, should he seal a move.
Conor Hourihane is unsure where his future lies, whereas Manchester City are considering exercising their buy-back clause for Douglas Luiz. Should those two depart, a move for Winks may be good business.

Nandez could well fit the bill in that regard, as a latest update has been given on the Yorkshire club’s pursuit of the Cagliari ace.
The Latest: Leeds set sights on Nandez
As per Calciomercato, Leeds, as well as Inter Milan, have set their sights on signing Nandez.
Relations between the presidents of both Cagliari and LUFC are reportedly ‘excellent’, while Bielsa likes the profile of the Uruguay international.
Nandez has a deal at the Serie A club until 2024, and has a release clause of €36m (£30.9m), a sum that Leeds may well be tempted by.
The Verdict: Leeds should sign Nandez
Nandez would certainly be a shrewd addition to the squad for the Whites should they be able to beat the likes of Inter to his signature.
Allegedly admired by Bielsa, the Argentine will likely already have a system in mind for how he would like to play Nandez, and with his added versatility to be able to play in a number of different positions, it could well turn out to be a match made in heaven.
Italian football journalist Mina Rzouki described Nandez as ‘unstoppable’ in a performance for Cagliari against UEFA Europa League semi-finalists AS Roma back in May, and at 25 years of age, he still has plenty of room to grow.
