Upfront, they have already confirmed the free transfer signing of Fashion Sakala from Oostende (rangers.co.uk), and it now seems they are interested in another forward.

It is now being reported the 55-time Scottish champions are interested in McBurnie, who is known to be a Rangers fan.

The report says the Blades would be looking for around £15m for his services.

The Verdict: Waste of money

McBurnie really made his name at Swansea during the 2018/19 season, when he scored 22 times in 42 games in the Championship (Transfermarkt). At the age of 24, that remains the stand-out season of his career – in 65 appearances for Sheffield United, he has managed a paltry seven goals, far from what you would expect from a £20m signing (BBC). He has not had the best of times of it off the pitch recently, either – he was arrested for assault earlier this month (talkSPORT).

£15m would make him Rangers’ record signing (The Daily Record). Even as they chase the increased finances of the Champions League, any purchase made for such a fee would need to be a surefire success at the club. In the case of £10.8m-valued Scotland international McBurnie (Transfermarkt), it is hard to imagine such a scenario.

أعلن نادي بايرن ميونخ، إصابة مدافعه الدولي الألماني، نيكولاس سولي، بسبب إصابة تعرض لها خلال مشاركته في تدريبات النادي البافاري.

ولم يكمل سولي مران أمس الأربعاء، حيث تعرض صاحب الـ26 عامًا، لإصابة أجبرته على عدم استكمال التدريبات.

وقال بايرن ميونخ في بيانه إن سولي خضع لفحوصات طبية، وتبين إصابته في أوتار الركبة.

ولم يوضح بطل ألمانيا مدة غياب سولي، حيث أشار في بيانه إلى أن غيابه عن الملاعب سيكون لمدة أسابيع.

ولكن وسائل إعلام ألمانية قالت إن سولي سوف يغيب عن الملاعب لفترة تتراوح من 3-4 أسابيع.

بايرن ميونخ يستعد لملاقاة يونيون برلين يوم السبت القادم، في تمام الساعة السابعة والنصف بتوقيت القاهرة، على ملعب “أليانز أرينا”، ضمن لقاءات الجولة السابعة والعشرين من الدوري الألماني.

يُذكر أن بايرن ميونخ يتواجد على قمة الترتيب في الدوري الألماني برصيد 60 نقطة، بينما يونيون برلين يحتل المرتبة الثامنة برصيد 38 نقطة.

The Citizens took part in European football’s showpiece against the Blues as they looked to win the Champions League for the first time in their history. However, a questionable team selection from Pep Guardiola – he fielded an XI without a defensive midfielder – led to City losing 1-0 after Kai Havertz broke away late in the first half.

Sterling was selected from the start by Guardiola, and he failed to have enough of an impact on the game. The £81m-valued 26-year-old (Transfermarkt) has come in for criticism from the City supporters in recent weeks, and he did little to enamour himself to them with this final club display of the campaign. England fans will hoping for better at the European Championships.

Atualmente com 22 anos, Gegê foi revelado pelo clube de General Severiano. Desde 2013 no time profissional, ele chegou a fazer gols importantes, como numa vitória sobre o Flamengo. Porém, nunca caiu nas graças da torcida. O contrato com o Glorioso termina no fim deste ano.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun is in an optimistic mood with a ‘new era’ set to begin at Goodison Park after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti last week.

The 30-year-old told Turkish outlet TRT Spor that he believed he could ‘still do well’ on Merseyside following the Italian’s exit from the club to rejoin Real Madrid.

The Blues shelled out £27m to sign him from Besiktas in January 2018 but he has failed to live up to that lofty price tag, with only 11 goals to his name after 58 appearances.

Tosun returned to his old club on loan in February, having previously had a spell at Crystal Palace. The 30-year-old only played 175 minutes for Besiktas before suffering a patella injury, but managed to score three goals in that time.
