كشفت صحيفة “أبولا” البرتغالية، عن هوية المدير الفني الأقرب لتدريب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك، خلفًا للفرنسي باتريس كارتيرون.

وكان مرتضى منصور، رئيس نادي الزمالك قد قرر فسخ عقد كارتيرون مدرب الأبيض، بالاتفاق بين الطرفين، بعد سوء نتائج الفرنسي مؤخرًا في كأس الرابطة المصرية والدوري ودوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وحسب الصحيفة البرتغالية، فإن البرتغالي، روي فيتوريا، المدير الفني السابق لـ بنفيكا في مفاوضات مع الزمالك لتولي تدريب الأبيض هذا الموسم.

وقالت الصحيفة في تقريرها إن مسؤولي الزمالك ينظرون إلى فيتوريا على أنه خيار مرموق، خاصة بسبب خبرته مع بنفيكا والنصر السعودي.

روي فيتوريا لا يدرب أي نادٍ في الوقت الحالي، حيث رحل المدرب البرتغالي عن سبارتاك موسكو، في 15 ديسمبر الماضي، بعد ستة أشهر فقط من تولي تدريب النادي الروسي.

فيتوريا خلال مسيرته التدريبية التي بدأت في 2002، درّب أكثر من نادٍ برتغالي مثل بنفيكا، باكوس فيريرا، فيتوريا جيماريش بجانب نادي فاتيما، كما تولى قيادة النصر السعودي من يناير 2019 وحتى ديسمبر 2020.

المدرب صاحب الـ”51″ عامًا، توج بلقب الدوري البرتغالي والسوبر وكأس البرتغال مع بنفيكا، وفي السعودية حصل على لقبي الدوري والسوبر مع النصر.

يُذكر أن مرتضى منصور، قد أعلن أمس الخميس، أن المدرب الجديد، سيصل إلى القاهرة، يوم الأحد أو الإثنين، وسط أنباء ترددت بقوة خلال الأيام الماضية أن جيسفالدو فيريرا المدير الفني الأسبق للقلعة البيضاء، هو المدرب المنتظر إعلان عنه من قبل رئيس الزمالك.

سجّل الدولي الجزائري، رياض محرز، جناح مانشستر سيتي، الهدف الثالث لفريقه في شباك مانشستر يونايتد بالدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

Lawrie Sanchez has exclusively told Football FanCast that he believes Mikel Arteta will be given time to turn things around at Arsenal.

The Spaniard has bagged the FA Cup since replacing Unai Emery last Christmas, but Arsenal’s Premier League form has been underwhelming during his 18 months at the club.

The north London outfit had the perfect opportunity to put their shocking league results behind them by winning the Europa League.

However, the Gunners were unable to overturn a 2-1 deficit in their semi-final against Villarreal last Thursday – with the ultimate humiliation being that it was at the expense of their former manager Emery, who was the man sacked and replaced by Arteta.

Arsenal have responded to their European exit with victories over West Brom and Chelsea, and despite the prospect of their lowest Premier League finish since the 1995-1996 campaign, Sanchez believes the former Gunners midfielder will be given at least the summer window to prove himself.

He told Football FanCast:

“It was embarrassing to be knocked out of the Europe League by Emery, but, the one thing he has got on his CV is winning the FA Cup.

“I think they will bear with him – fans not being in the stadium has probably benefited managers that have struggled, like him. Once you started getting booed off pitches, owners start to take notice.

“I think they will give him another year, give him another transfer window, and give him the benefit of the doubt.”

Watford are considering a move to bring Jens Petter Hauge to Vicarage Road this summer.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to Italian journalist Daniele Longo (via Sempre Milan), who claimed that AC Milan are open to offers for the 21-year-old left-winger this summer – and that the Hornets are strongly considering placing a bid for the Norway international.

The Rossoneri are also said to be open to a loan deal for the £9m-rated youngster, something that could also open the door to a temporary move to Vicarage Road for the former FK Bodo/Glimt star.

Giaretta must move

While Hauge has not enjoyed the best of times since making a £4.5m move to Milan last October – with the 21-year-old scoring two goals over his 18 Serie A appearances for Stefano Pioli’s side so far this season, as well as averaging a disappointing SofaScore match rating of 6.62 – there is still plenty of promise waiting to be tapped in the winger.

This is evident from his performances prior to his switch to Italy, as, over his 18 Eliteserien fixtures for FK Bodo/Glimt in 2020, Hauge had scored a whopping 14 goals, registered nine assists and had created seven big chances, in addition to averaging a SofaScore match rating of 7.81.

So, while there are obvious differences in standard between the Norwegian first tier and Serie A – not to mention the Premier League – there is clearly an exceptional talent hidden inside Hauge that Pioli has not managed to uncover during the winger’s time at Milan.

Indeed, with Carlo Pellegatti stating his belief that Hauge is similar in style to none less than Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min, as well as claiming that the 21-year-old is a player who possesses “ancient flavour”, it would appear highly advisable for Cristiano Giaretta to make a move for the Milan youngster this summer.

If the gamble does pay off, and Xisco Munoz can help the winger refind his form, the benefits for Watford could well be massive – both in terms of goals, creativity and, one day, financially.

– Parece que eu estou começando minha carreira agora, mas vou ser sincero, eu nem dormi direito antes da apresentação. Depois de 20 anos como jogador e 30 como técnico, parece que estou começando uma nova vida. Mas de fato estou começando uma nova vida. أكد البرتغالي نونو ألميدا المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي فاركو، سعادته بالأداء الذي ظهر عليه لاعبيه في مباراة اليوم أمام البنك الأهلي.

وتعادل فاركو مع البنك الأهلي بهدفين لكل فريق، في اللقاء الذي أقيم ضمن منافسات الجولة 13 من عمر بطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وقال ألميدا خلال تصريحاته عقب المباراة :”سعيد للغاية بأداء اللاعبين وبالتنظيم داخل الملعب خلال معظم أحداث المباراة، واللاعبون نفذوا خطتي خلال 3 أيام”.

أهداف مباراة فاركو والبنك الأهلي في الدوري

Celtic’s interim boss John Kennedy has been urged to join Ross County if he leaves Parkhead.

Former County goalkeeper Michael Fraser told The Press and Journal that the 37-year-old would be well-suited to the managerial position at the Global Energy Stadium.

The lowdown

Kennedy took over from Neil Lennon when he resigned at the end of February, with Celtic’s title hopes having unravelled. Predominantly using a 4-4-2 diamond formation, he oversaw four victories, four draws and two defeats in total.

Celtic were 18 points adrift of Rangers when Kennedy took over and ended up 25 points behind their Glasgow rivals at the season’s end. The Gers also knocked them out of the Scottish Cup in the fourth round.

According to the Daily Record, Eddie Howe will be announced as Lennon’s long-term successor this week. He is also poised to bring backroom staff from Bournemouth with him, so it’s unclear whether there’ll be any place for Kennedy under the 43-year-old’s regime.

Ross County finished third from bottom in the Premiership this season. John Hughes kept them in the division but has not been offered a permanent deal.

The latest

If Kennedy is looking to move into management permanently rather than return to a behind-the-scenes role, Fraser says that County would be an ideal destination for him, telling The Press and Journal:

“Personally I think, John Kennedy, should he leave Celtic, would be a really good shout. He is highly thought of and it would be a good job for him to start off with.

“I am pretty sure a guy like John would like this job. He’s just a name that leapt out at me.

“Roy [Macgregor, chairman] might be looking at a more experienced manager, but going left-field John would be a good pick.

“He is highly-rated by ex-players and maybe he will want to come in and get his hands dirty by coaching them to play in the way he wants them to play.

“It’s maybe the best of the smaller clubs to achieve that because you will get support.”

The verdict

Howe may well deem Kennedy surplus to requirements at Celtic, partly as a symbolic ‘out with the old, in with the new’ move.

While Kennedy didn’t do enough in his time at the helm at Parkhead to suggest that he had credentials to be the permanent boss, he faced an unenviable task in trying to salvage the wreckage of the Hoops’ season.

Centre-back Kristoffer Ajer was also full of praise for his ‘fantastic’ coaching methods, and a club further down the Premiership would certainly be wise to give him a chance to prove his worth.
