واصل البلجيكي روميلو لوكاكو، تصريحاته المثيرة للجدل في مقابلة مع “سكاي إيطاليا” مشيرًا إلى أنه كان يحلم باللعب لثلاثة أندية كبرى بعد فترته مع إنتر ميلان وقبل الانتقال إلى تشيلسي.

كما ادعى لوكاكو أنه رفض عرضًا مربحًا من مانشستر سيتي قبل 12 شهرًا من عودته إلى تشيلسي مقابل 98 مليون جنيه إسترليني.

وقال لوكاكو: “هناك 3 فرق على أعلى مستوى وهم برشلونة، ريال مدريد، بايرن ميونخ، كل اللاعبين يحلمون بهم، هذه هي الحقيقة اعتقدت أنني سأذهب إلى أحد تلك الأندية بعد إنتر ميلان”.

وأضاف: “هذا لم يحدث وقلت هناك ناد واحد فقط يمكنني أن أتخيل نفسي فيه، إنه تشيلسي”.

وأشار المهاجم البلجيكي، الذي تسبب في عاصفة في المقابلة نفسها بقوله إنه غير سعيد بموقفه في ستامفورد بريدج، إلى أنه كان من الممكن أن يعود إلى الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في وقت أبكر مما فعل، وكذلك مع منافسي تشيلسي على اللقب.

جاء العرض من مانشستر سيتي في صيف 2020، بعد موسمه الأول مع إنتر ميلان، لكن لوكاكو قال إنه يريد البقاء وسداد ثقة النادي الإيطالي به بعد فترة صعبة مع مانشستر يونايتد.

قال لوكاكو إن مانشستر سيتي عرض عليه راتبًا أكبر من راتبه الحالي البالغ 212 ألف جنيه إسترليني في الأسبوع مع تشيلسي.

وأفاد البلجيكي: “بعد السنة الأولى، رفضت عرضًا من مانشستر سيتي كان أعلى من عرض تشيلسي الحالي، لأنني لم أرغب في الانتقال”.

وأكمل: “لم يكن هذا هو الوقت المناسب، كانت السنة الأولى وأردت أن أفعل شيئًا جيدًا لإنتر لأنهم أنقذوا مسيرتي، كنت في نفق في مانشستر يونايتد، كنت استثمارًا كبيرًا للإنتر وقمنا بأشياء رائعة معًا”.

بعد أن سجل 34 هدفًا في جميع المسابقات خلال مشواره الأول في سان سيرو، سجل لوكاكو 30 هدفًا آخر في موسم 2020-21 لمساعدتهم على الفوز بلقب دوري الدرجة الأولى الإيطالي.

Finance football guru Kieran Maguire has dropped a claim on the potential takeover of Newcastle United by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) group.

This comes after the news emerged (via NUFC) that both Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron would be out until April after suffering knee and groin injuries respectively, adding to the already injured Callum Wilson in what is a devastating blow to their forward line.

Speaking to Football Insider, Maguire has claimed that any potential buyers would have been ‘discouraged’ and ‘uncomfortable’ with the injury news, as it means that Steve Bruce’s team are more likely to be relegated from the Premier League down to the EFL Championship because of it, which in turn would mean that they would be more reluctant to pay the asking price set by Mike Ashley:

“The price that somebody is going to pay will be determined to a certain extent by where the club is going to be next season.

“If you have those three players injured, any interested party is going to be discouraged.

“If Mike Ashley says, ‘it’s £300m or nothing’, they are going to say ‘nothing’ because this is increasing the chances of relegation. Newcastle in the Championship are worth less money.

“There’s no guarantee they will bounce back straight away. They have done on the last two occasions but if they do spend two or three seasons in the Championship, why pay £300m when you can buy Derby County for £60m?

“These injuries and Newcastle’s poor form recently has got potential bidders feeling uncomfortable because they don’t exactly know what they’re buying into.”

Newcastle injuries a big blow

For the North East club to lose arguably their three best players going forward to injury is a big blow to their hopes of surviving in the top flight.

As Maguire suggests, the Magpies being down in the Championship may be less attractive to any potential bidders, including the KSA consortium, and so it may result in a stand-off in terms of the kind of money that Ashley would demand for them to pay to take over.

Temos quase certeza que eles não marcam, é quase coincidência. Se encontram e acontece. Pode acontecer em qualquer lugar, fruto da intolerância – afirmou Arcanjo.

Some Liverpool supporters are concerned about Naby Keita representing Guinea during the international break, due to his recent injury record.

The 26-year-old has had a frustrating Reds career to date, never quite managing to hit the heights many expected of him when he arrived.

Keita joined from RB Leipzig back in the summer of 2018 – he actually signed the previous year – with many expecting him to become Liverpool’s star midfielder.

It hasn’t quite worked out that way, however, with the Guinean falling behind the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum in the pecking order.

While Keita’s performances haven’t always been up to the required standard, injuries are the main thing that have held him back, with constant absences from the team allowing him no rhythm.

When fit, he is an effective player who has proven his worth many times for Liverpool, but his inability to stay injury-free is a stumbling block.

According to RTE, Guinea’s national team have persuaded the Reds to allow Keita to face Mali next Wednesday, sending him back to Merseyside straight after the game.

Lee Ryder has slammed the performance of Ryan Fraser as Newcastle United lost 3-0 away at Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday night.

It was an embarrassing loss for the Tynesiders against a team who are currently just one place above them in the league table at the moment, with goals from Leandro Trossard, Danny Welbeck and Neal Maupay more than enough to give Graham Potter’s men all three points on the night.

There were some very poor performances for Steve Bruce’s side, but Fraser’s in particular angered Ryder, describing the former Bournemouth man’s display as ‘gutless’ and giving him a mere 2/10 overall rating in his latest piece for The Chronicle, the joint-lowest out of any Magpies player to have set foot on the pitch.

Aside from hitting the post early on in the second half, Fraser – like many of his teammates – was simply poor.

The Scotland international failed to have any real meaningful impact on the game, recording fewer touches (43) than his own goalkeeper in Martin Dubravka (45), while he also failed to record a single key pass or accurate cross and also lost possession of the ball on 15 separate occasions, the joint-most out of any of Toon player (Sofascore).

It was a night to forget for the 27-year-old winger and Newcastle in general, and it’s little wonder that Ryder was so critical afterwards.
