Manchester United have suffered a huge blow as Borussia Dortmund have agreed to buy Jude Bellingham from Birmingham City this summer.

Bellingham, 17, will follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho when he moves to the Signal Iduna Park.

The teenager broke the record previously held by Trevor Francis as Birmingham’s youngest player, and had been linked to Man United and Chelsea, but he opted to move to Germany instead.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via The Guardian, Dortmund have agreed a £22.75m deal to sign the midfielder.

He established himself as a first-team regular with the Blues and even enjoyed a tour of Carrington led by none other than Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this year.

Romano reports Bellingham has passed all his medicals and the contract has been signed on the dotted line, meaning a move is all but complete.

Despite the red carpet treatment, he has rejected the Red Devils in favour of Dortmund, which will be a big blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as he had been chasing him for several months.

This isn’t the first time that the Bundesliga challengers have usurped Solskjaer in the transfer market, as he missed out on signing Erling Braut Haaland last year.

Naturally, many United fans slammed the transfer update on social media, with one calling Dortmund “criminals” as they have got Bellingham for a relatively low fee but are reportedly asking the Red Devils to pay £117m for Sancho. Meanwhile, several supporters bizarrely branded Bellingham “average at best” and “overrated,” despite his impressive track record this season.

كشفت إذاعة “كوبي” الإسبانية، موقف إدارة نادي برشلونة، من إقالة المدرب الهولندي، رونالد كومان، من منصب المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم، وذلك بعد التعادل مع قادش في الدوري الإسباني.

وكانت تقارير صحفية قد ذكرت أن خوان لابورتا، رئيس مجلس إدارة النادي الكتالوني، يريد إقالة كومان من تدريب الفريق، وخاصًة بعد التعادل في الجولة الماضية أمام غرناطة.

وذكرت الإذاعة عبر حسابها الرسمي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر”، أن برشلونة لن يتعجل إقالة كومان.

وأوضحت أن مجلس إدارة البلوجرانا يثق في كومان، حيث سيظل مدربًا للفريق، حيث ستحدد النتائج القادمة موقفه من الرحيل من عدمه.

News broke last Friday that Sheffield Wednesday were to receive a 12-point deduction at the start of the 2020/21 Championship season for breaking spending rules. Dom Howson tweeted out an update on the issue, and many of the Owls fan base are reacting to this news.

According to the journalist for Yorkshire Live, the club are not able to appeal the decision until the English Football League send them the written reasons as to why they received the deduction.

With the next Championship campaign starting on the 12th September, which is just over a month away, many of the fan base are not happy with the fact that the club have received the charge and deduction but not received the written reasons as it leaves them uncertain about whether they will be able to appeal the decision before the season starts.

The misconduct charge was received due to the fact that Wednesday sold Hillsborough stadium to chairman Dejphon Chansiri and it was then included in the 2018 accounts when it was sold a year later, per Examiner Live.

This charge was received in November and it has taken until August for the club to find out its fate, so it is understandable to see why fans are aggrieved over this latest update.

Tottenham could really do with bolstering their backline this summer.

The London club conceded eight more goals than they did in 2018/19 this season, and with Jan Vertonghen leaving the club and Kieran Trippier yet to be adequately replaced, they need some reinforcements.

Fortunately, it seems as though the club recognise this problem, being linked to numerous defenders such as Kim Min-Jae, Malang Sarr and Max Aarons.

All three young defenders are on Tottenham’s radar, but it has now been revealed that Jose Mourinho isn’t sure about signing Aarons.

The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke wrote a piece talking about some sensible transfers Spurs could make this summer, and inevitably, he got on to talking about Aarons.

“Max Aarons of relegated Norwich City would be one option after an impressive season despite his club’s struggles, although Mourinho is understood to have reservations about Aarons’ size,” he wrote.

Mourinho is often jeered at for being a relic of the past as modern football has evolved around his heavily defensive style that doesn’t seem to be as effective as it once was, and this is a prime example of that.

Aarons is a defender being coveted by some of the biggest clubs in the world such as Bayern Munich, but the Spurs manager isn’t convinced because he’s a bit too small for his liking.

The ironic thing is that Aarons is 5 ft 10, which is actually quite big for a full-back, and having smaller defenders hasn’t stopped the former Chelsea manager from being successful in the past.

Ashley Cole was one of his mainstay full-backs at Stamford Bridge and he’s an inch smaller than Aarons, while The Portuguese manager was key in bringing Marcelo through at Real Madrid and he only stands at 5 ft 9.

Spurs would be foolish to let something as trivial as size put them off signing the £30m-rated Norwich star.

رئيس الوزراء القطري الشيح خالد بن خليفة بن عبد العزيز آل الثاني، أعلن في يونيو الماضي أنه سيطلب من أي مشجع يرغب في حضور البطولة، تلقيحًا كاملًا ضد فيروس كورونا، لكنه لم يذكر أي شيء بخصوص اللاعبين حتى الآن.

وكالة “APNews” العالمية، أكدت أن الاتحاد الدولي يناقش مع السلطات القطرية، إمكانية أن يتمكن المشجعون واللاعبون والمسؤولون من تقديم دليل على التعافي من فيروس كورونا أو تقديم اختبارات سلبية، لحضور بطولة كأس العالم القادمة.

ولم يرد منظمو مونديال قطر والحكومة القطرية حتى الآن، في انتظار إصدار الاتحاد الدولي لوائح البطولة في الأسابيع المقبلة لكأس العرب التي ستنطلق من 30 نوفمبر وحتى 18 ديسمبر، كحدث اعتباري في ملاعب كأس العالم.

The last few days have been very good for all associated with Arsenal as they managed to beat Liverpool in the Community Shield on penalties and then announced the signing of defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Brazilian had been linked with fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Everton but the Gunners managed to acquire him for around £26.5m and he has signed a five-year deal, per ESPN.

It is an exciting time to be an Arsenal supporter as, despite finishing in eighth place in the Premier League last season, there has been an upturn in fortunes since Mikel Arteta took over from Unai Emery as manager, as he has managed to win both the Community Shield and the FA Cup while being in charge for less than nine months at the Emirates Stadium.

This clearly has been a factor in bringing players like Gabriel to the club, and he is very excited to embark on his new journey in the Premier League as he posted on Instagram following Arsenal’s confirmation of his transfer.
