The club won't want to lose any of their star players, but given the recent points deduction for a PSR breach, owner Evangelos Marinakis may have to sell one of the two to avoid further punishments.

Forest overspent by £34.5m during the previous financial year, with the club's dealings in the market undoubtedly part of the reason for the huge breach.

If the article is to be believed, the club conducted excellent business in clearing his wages off the bill, especially given his attitude problems during his time in the East Midlands.

His move to the City Ground undoubtedly was a disaster, but given the club's recent dealings with the Premier League's FFP rules, his wages have saved the club over £3.9m a year – with his original deal set to expire at the end of next season.

The club need to use the Shelvey deal as a reminder ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Reds unable to recklessly splash the cash if they are to avoid further PSR punishments in the future.

Bangladesh coach Russell Domingo has said that he wants Mahmudullah to lead Bangladesh in T20Is this year. Mahmudullah was handed the captaincy hastily, minutes after Shakib Al Hasan was banned by the ICC last October. Mahmudullah led Bangladesh well in his first assignment, a tightly contested T20I series in India and reprises the role for the three-match T20I series in Pakistan which begins on Friday.Domingo, in a recent interview to ESPNcricinfo, said that he did not want to try too many players ahead of the T20 World Cup in October, and now he has put his weight behind Mahmudullah to be the one to lead Bangladesh in the tournament.”I am hoping he leads us in the World Cup T20,” Domingo said. “He has my full support. I thought he did a great job in India. I have enjoyed working with him. I think he is a good professional. He has respect of the change room. He is a world-class player. He is my captain.”[Continuity with the players] depends on how they do. If a player is out of his depth, we can’t keep going with him. If a player has potential to develop, you have to run with those players. After this series, we have to keep our squad as small as possible. وقال إمام عاشور، في تصريحات عبر قناة “الأهلي”: “عندما كنت مع نادي الزمالك، جاءني أكثر من عرض أوروبي، وأبرزها من إسبانيا. لم أكن أعلم أي شيء عن عرض ميتلاند، وعرفت عنه فجأة. جددت عقدي مع الزمالك ولم أكن أنوي مغادرة النادي، لكن لا أعرف ما الذي حدث بعد ذلك بعد مباراة فيوتشر والزمالك في الدوري، وفي آخر يوم من فترة القيد، اتصل بي أحد الأشخاص من النادي (دون ذكر أسماء) في منتصف الليل، وأخبرني بأنني سأنتقل إلى فريق ميتلاند. لم أكن أعرف أي شيء عن ذلك، وعندما ذهبت إلى نادي الزمالك وجدت عقود احترافي جاهزة، ووقعت عليها دون معرفة أي تفاصيل”.

وأَضاف: ” في ميتلاند لم أكن قادرًا على التأقلم في الدنمارك بسبب اللغة، ثم جاءت الإصابة في قدمي وقررت العودة، وتحدثت مع وكيل أعمالي، وأبلغت المسؤولين في ميتلاند برغبتي في العلاج في مصر”.

وتابع: “بعد قرار عودتي إلى مصر، أخبرني أحمد يحيى أن أمير توفيق يريد الاطمئنان علي وتحدثت مع المسؤولين في نادي الزمالك وأبلغتهم أنني أريد العودة إلى النادي ولن أستكمل مشواري الاحترافي، ولو لم أكن أرغب في العودة للزمالك لما أبلغتهم”.

وأكمل: “بقيت في النادي لمدة شهر ونصف، ولم يتحدث معي أحد خلال هذه الفترة، وكان الأهلي خارج الصورة تمامًا وأحد المسؤولين في الزمالك قال لي ادفع الـ2 مليون دولار قيمة شرائي من نادي ميتلاند، كما أنني تحدثت مع أحد اللاعبين في الزمالك وأخبرته برغبتي في العودة، وقلت له إنه لا يوجد أحد تحدث معي”.

وواصل: “لا يوجد شخص يرفض الأهلي إذا جاء إليه، عندما لم أجد التقدير من الزمالك وتحدث معي أمير توفيق، أغلقت موضوع الزمالك، وقلت لأمير إن اللعب للأهلي شرف لي”.

وأضاف: “كنت مندهشًا عندما تواصل معي أمير توفيق، وأؤكد أن الأهلي لم يتواصل معي قبل سفري للدنمارك”.

واستمر: “المفاوضات مع الأهلي لم تكن صعبة منذ أن تحدث معي أمير، قلت له إنه شرف لي ارتداء قميص الأهلي، والله لم أنظر إلى أي شيء آخر، فأنا معروف بعدم قبولي للخسارة وأحب البطولات، عندما يأتي لك النادي الأهلي، ماذا يمكنك أن تقول؟ والله لم أنظر إلى العقود أو الأموال، وحتى الآن لا أعرف كم أتقاضى”.

واستكمل: “اللعب في الأهلي فرصة لا يمكن إضاعتها، لم ألتقِ بمحمود الخطيب إلا ثلاث أو أربع مرات، أول مرة التقيت به كان في معسكر النمسا، ومهما تحدثت عنه، لن أستطيع إعطاءه حقه، لا يوجد أحد لا يحب الخطيب، وعندما تعاملت معه أحببته أكثر”.

وأردف: “في اللقاء الأول، طلب مني الخطيب أن أركز في الملعب وألا أشغل بالي بأي شيء آخر، وأن أحافظ على علاقتي بجماهير الزمالك، شكرته وقلت له إنني سأكون عند حسن ظنه، أما اللقاء الثاني مع الخطيب فكان أثناء مشكلتي الحالية، وكان يقف بجانبي ويدعمني منذ دخولي الأهلي، لم أفعل أي شيء يسيء لجمهور الزمالك أو للنادي”.

وأتم: “لقد أخطأت واعتذرت أكثر من مرة لكل رموز الأهلي عن أي شيء بدر مني قبل انضمامي للنادي، ولم يشعرني مجلس إدارة الأهلي بأي خطأ قد صدر مني، استقبال جمهور الأهلي لي كان رائعًا، ويا بخت من يحبه جمهور الأهلي، كما أنني أحببت جمهور الأهلي وهم بادلوني نفس المحبة”.

As reliably reported by Fabrizio Romano last month, Tottenham will be looking to add more goals and assists to Postecoglou's squad in the form of a star winger, with Barcelona's Raphinha and Wolves winger Pedro Neto among the players on their radar.

“Look, a player they appreciate for a long time is Raphinha from Barcelona. We know the financial situation at Barcelona is not easy, so he could be one of the names. They will look at that kind of player," said Romano to JD Football.

According to Football Insider and journalist Pete O'Rourke, Tottenham are "ready to swoop" for Gallagher and favourites to sign him over Newcastle, as Howe's side are being restricted by the boundaries of FFP and a deal could be "too hard to do" for them.

Spurs are apparently "well-placed" to sign the Englishman over Newcastle as a result, which will come as a welcome bit of good news for Postecoglou.

Daniel Worrall made a memorable return to first-class cricket, claiming 5 for 31 to help South Australia to a second-straight Sheffield Shield win as they bowled out Western Australia on the final day in Adelaide.The Redbacks swing bowler tore through WA’s lower order after the key breakthroughs from Nick Winter and Wes Agar had put WA in a hole in their pursuit of 332 for victory. Marcus Stoinis continued his good form from the BBL making 60 but could not press on as the visitors were bowled out for 222.Worrall had not played a first-class game since limping off the WACA in March last year with hamstring and back injuries ruling him out of county cricket in England and the first half of this Sheffield Shield season. His late outswing accounted for Josh Philippe and Josh Inglis as both threatened to form a partnership before he ran through the tail to claim his seventh five-wicket haul in first-class cricket and Player-of-the-Match honours.Earlier, South Australia declared after just two overs in the morning session having added 17 to their overnight total. It left WA needing 332 from 86 overs for victory. WA had chased down 313 to win against SA in the fourth innings in Adelaide last season.The chase started solidly but Agar made two huge breakthroughs with consecutive deliveries to have Cameron Bancroft and Shaun Marsh caught behind with the total at just 44. وعن خطابه بعد التتويج، أفاد: “قال لي والدي قبل ثلاثة أو أربعة أيام أن أستعد لخطاب، في حال فزت بها”.
